The IIiA at the IV Jornades TIC-Salut

The IIiA took part in the IV Jornades TIC-Salut held at the University of Girona's Scientific Park. This conference, promoted and organized by the TIC-Salut Foundation and de PCiT, focuses on the IT applied to healthcare. The IIiA showcased all its e-health projects. eXiT group also introduced its new project MoSCHA and BCDS presented the ViTAM project.

Mateu Sbert, Director of the GILAB research group, and Javier Garcia, member of the GILAB group, took part in the TEDxUdG 2013 held at the Science and Technology Park on May 27th. He gave the conference Enhancement of videogames playing experience through the use of non-photorealistic and artistic effects. Javier Garcia presented Entropia i Música. Mateu Sbert, Director of the GILAB research group, and Javier Garcia, member of the GILAB group, took part in the TEDxUdG 2013 held at the Science and Technology Park on May 27th. ViTAM, the Video Tele Assistance and Monitoring project developed by the BCDS research group, won the Euro-region Pyrenees Mediterranean Prize. The prize was awarded by the 4th e-health congress held at the Science and Technology Park on 22-23 May.

In the month of May, the IIiA joined the so-called "Estades en l'Entorn Laboral (EEL)". The EEL is an internship programme run by the University of Girona's Polytechnic School. This means that both undergraduate and master students can work for the IIiA as a part of their curricula. INDRA has joined the board of the Master in Smart Cities. This means that students of this master will be able to do internships in INDRA in order to get experience of their future work. INDRA will also give expert seminars in the field of smart cities.
The Master in Smart Cities is run by the IIiA and will start in September 2013.
