Meeting Pepper

The  PEPPER  project team meeting has been held on May 5th-6th, celebrated in  the dependencies of Institut d'Investigació Biomèdica de Girona Dr. Josep Trueta (Girona). PEPPER is a three year H2020 project that proposes a personalized decision support system for chronic disease management that will make predictions based on real-time data in order to empower individuals to participate in the self-management of their disease. This meeting comes after reaching the first milestone of the project, when the related deliverables have been completed. The particular specifications of all of the components involved , as well as the interfaces among them have been defined. In the meeting,  issues regarding safety and  interactions with medical devices have been addressed, as well as regulations and risk management, to tackle the forthcoming developments with the expected quality and guarantees of a healthcare framework.

The eXiT group (Control Engineering and Intelligent Systems) plays an important role coordinating the WP3 (Adaptive Insulin Recommender System) and WP8 (Dissemination and Exploitation).
