Silvia Baldiris, member of the BCDS research group, carried out a stay as a visiting researcher at Athabasca University (AU), Canada last fall. Dr Baldiris spent two months at AU invited by Dr. Sabine Graf and Professor Kinshuk, members of the School of Computing and Information Systems. During the stay, Baldiris and her partners at AU researched new methods in advanced learning technologies and technology-enhanced learning. This works takes place in the framework of ARRELS, a project that seeks to apply Augmented Reality techniques to learning management systems in order to address the diversity of students. Dr. Ramon Fabregat, director of BCDS, is the principal investigator of ARRELS, a project funded by the Spanish Ministry for Science and Innovation (ref TIN2011-23930).
