MEDIATE wins ITEA Excellence Award 2015


MEDIATE, a project aimed at supporting healthcare professionals  in minimally invasive, image guided intervention and treatment, has won of the three ITEA Excellence Awards 2015. This prizes recognize European collaborative R&D projects achieving advanced technological results. MEDIATE has won the prize in the 'business impact' category.

Several members of the eXiT group: Joaquim Meléndez, Francisco Gamero, Andrés El-Fakdi and Roberto Petite took part in the project since eXiT was responsible for developing a Clinical Decision Suport System for transcatheter aortic valve implantation. 

MEDIATE was  led by Philips Healthcare and was funded by the Spanish Ministry for Industry, Trade and Tourism (ref. TSI-020400-2010-84). ITEA is the EUREKA cluster supporting innovative, industry-driven R&D projects in the area of Software-intensive Systems and Services. The eXiT research group is part of the Institute of Informatics and Applications.
