Pere Vilà, member of the BCDS research group, will be the General Chair of the 2013 International Symposium on Performance Evaluation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems. The event will be held in Toronto on July 7-10th. Pere Vilà will also give the paper entitled "Decentralized Routing Algorithm for Wireless Mesh Network based on Multi-Objective Optimization" at the event.

Over the next three months five undergraduate students will collaborate with MICELAB. Aleix Beneyto, Aniol Gallego, Eduard Gruartmoner, Igor Kopytov and Gerard Busquets will carry out engineering tasks in several projects whose ultimate goal is to develop an artificial pancreas for patients suffering from diabetes.

The IIiA took part in the IV Jornades TIC-Salut held at the University of Girona's Scientific Park. This conference, promoted and organized by the TIC-Salut Foundation and de PCiT, focuses on the IT applied to healthcare. The IIiA showcased all its e-health projects. eXiT group also introduced its new project MoSCHA and BCDS presented the ViTAM project.
