Anton Bardera

Anton Bardera is a lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Girona. He received a M.Sc. in Telecommunications engineering (2002) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2008) at the University of Girona. His research interests include image processing, scientific visualization, information theory, and biomedical applications. He has authored or co-authored 15 journal papers and many conference papers in his areas of interest.

She received an Engineering degree in Computer Science at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1986 and a PhD in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) at the Polytechnic School of Catalonia in 1993. She has served as a faculty member with the Dept. of Computer Science of the University Rovira i Virgili and with several private companies. She co-founded Newronia in 2001. Her current research includes decision support systems, case-based reasoning, machine learning and optimization. She is a member of the Catalan Association for Artificial Intelligence, federated to the European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence.

Carles Pous

Carles Pous received the degree in Telecommunication Engineer from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC,Spain) in 1993 and the PhD degree from the Universitat de Girona (UdG) in 2004. He is an associate professor at the UdG. His research is focused on the data mining techniques applied to energy efficiency, including data acquisition systems and wireless sensor networks. From 2009 to 2011 he co-directed the R&D&I department of Lafcarr Project & Design. In this period he gained experience in running real projects and transferring research results to exploitation.
