Albert Pla at Mediterranean Symposium on Health Promotion


Albert Pla, researcher of the eXiT research group, participated at the 2nd Mediterranean Symposium on Health Promotion. The event, organized by the University of Girona's Chair on Health Promotion, took place at the Science Park on 3 - 5 June. Dr Pla presented MoSHCA, a mHealth project that has developed intelligent mobile applications allowing a person to self manage their health. The applications are useful for both patients suffering from chronic diseases and for healthy people.

Albert Pla is a member of the Institute of Informatics and Applications. A PhD graduate since 2014, Pla carries out research on decision support systems, Case-Based Reasoning and other AI topics. Smart healthcare and smart monitoring are two domains he applies his research to.  MoSHCA was funded by the Spanish Ministry for Economy and Competitiveness (reference: IPT2012-0943-300000). Dr Beatriz López coordinated it at the University of Girona.
