The conference Health 2.0 Europe took place in Barcelona on 18 - 20 May. It was a showcase for state-of-the-art apps allowing citizens to self-manage their health. The effects of technologies such as DNA sequencing, nanotechnology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), 3D printing, big data, robotics and stem cell therapies on health and prolonging human life were also discussed. The relevance of AI in the data processing conducted by the health gadgets in use was also emphasized. The University of Girona's Master in Smart Healthcare is a useful path researchers and practitioners can follow to meet these demands.
